Local Evangelism

Christ the Rock's steady growth has virtually all come as a result of friendship evangelism. Our current evangelism strategy is based on encouraging members to build effective bridges between their existing friendship networks and the Christian family of the church.

To do that we organise:
  A wide range of social activities and events to which friends can be invited.
  Regular Guest Services with gifted evangelistic speakers.
  Twice yearly ALPHA courses.

Members of Christ the Rock are also involved in the local schools work which is undertaken in all of the local primary schools and one local secondary school by teams of Christians drawn from several local churches (see re:GENer8 page on this site)

Since 2001 several of our young people have undertaken weekly outreach work to young people on the streets of Yate and Chipping Sodbury.
