'The Candle' Seeing Lives Transformed

The Candle, on Station Road, Yate, is run by members of Christ the Rock as a flexible centre for use by the local community and church groups.

The Candle currently serves local people by offering a community information point and coffee drop in session on Tuesdays and Wednesday, a toddler group on Thursdays and an over fifties peer support group on Fridays. Other groups also use the facilities to run their educational or life skills courses. There are also various social events held throughout the year.

In addition to a spacious main room and a fully fitted kitchen, The Candle premises has two additional rooms which are used for counselling or to hold smaller meetings for our church or community-based groups.

The Candle also serves as a base for our church Community Worker, Sue Hamer, who works in schools and with families on the Cranleigh Court Estate
